A recent visit to Jackson Hole, Wyoming exceeded all my expectations for photography. 
When you go on a normal vacation, you hope for sunny skies and beautiful weather.  But when you go with your camera to capture the beauty of the mountains, you wish for big clouds and unsettled weather.   Well, I got that kind of weather each day of my visit!  I saw at least 8 rainbows and enjoyed stormy skies, curtains of bright light rays streaking down from  dark moody clouds and only a little bit of actual rain.  
And of course, add in the vibrant yellows of autumn and it's just pure magic!
There is just something so inspiring about the West, the wide open landscape and those rugged mountains jutting up out of the flats.  I can't wait to go back again.
