So it was easy to say yes when I was invited to join the team of tour leaders. Birdlife of Texas
May 10-15, 2025
Join me for an unforgettable 4 days of photography as we explore the birds of south Texas. I visited Texas several years ago as an inexperienced bird photographer, and when I left a week later, I had learned so much and took home some incredible images. I am eager to share my techniques with you, to help you capture the myriad species that call Texas home or the migrators that stop by for a visit.
This is prime time for photographing the many migrating species, so don't miss this chance to up your game as a bird photographer.
The tour is all inclusive, so all you have to do is get to McAllen and I will take care of the rest. I will meet you at the airport, and drive us to the incredible Santa Clara Ranch. And all meals are included. I will be there in the blinds with you, to assist with settings and techniques that are proven and easily managed even by inexperienced bird photographers. AFRICAN WILDLIFE OF THE MAASAI MARA
Join me for an unforgettable trip to the Maasai Mara! We will spend 7 days together, exploring one of the most amazing parts of Africa. We will have opportunities to photograph the "Big Five" in amazing landscapes, and will be using specialized vehicles that allow for low angle shooting for those immersive compositions.
We will be staying just 5 minutes from the entrance to the Maasai, in single occupancy tents with ensuite bathrooms. A highlight of our trip is that we lodging in a genuine Maasai village, so we can all experience first hand the infamous hospitality of the Maasai people.
I'll be there to help with camera settings and composition, so that you go home with stunning photographs for your portfolio.

Imagine spending two weeks exploring the incredible beauty of the winter wildlife in Japan! You get yourself to the airport and Ian and I will handle everything from there. We will transport you to the amazing locations and be by your side to help you with the technical side of photography, making sure you capture the images you've always dreamed of creating. We will even get to spend some time with the infamous snow monkeys!
This tour includes single occupancy accommodations and half board meals. A highlight of the trip will include the fabulous cuisine that Japan is known for.

Wildlife of Zimanga
South Africa

Zimanga is a very special game reserve in South Africa. Join me for a trip that will include opportunities for traditional game drives in vehicles as well as time in the specialized hides. You will come away with unique images of wildlife at night that will set your portfolio apart from the traditional African safari shots.
You will be taken from the airport to Zimanga and from there, we will be carefully guided by the experienced staff. This trip has been timed for peak season at the reserve, to give you the best opportunity to capture the beautiful wildlife
